The ACG (Adair, Cass, Guthrie) MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Warriors will be holding their annual brisket dinner tonight.
Member Debbie Richter says that the group originally formed as a support group for people in the area that have MS, that turned into a non-profit to raise funds for groups that provide support for those suffering from MS, as well as the Mars Foundation, who is doing research on the disease. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there are 27 members of the ACG MS Warriors, and they will be serving a brisket dinner while also holding a raffle to raise funds this year, with the meal to be from 5-8pm, and the raffle will start at 7pm.
Richter mentions that some of the items included in the raffle include a quarter of beef and a freezer, along with six other beef bundles, gift certificates, an inflatable hot tub, two guns, a fire pit and much more. She adds that raffle tickets are $5 each, or $20 for five, and can be purchased during the event, or beforehand through venmo. The dinner will be held at the Adair Fire Department fire hall, costs $15, and includes brisket, garlic mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green beans, dessert, ice cream and drinks, and there is a pick up option available. The Venmo, as well as a list of some more raffle items can be found in this story online.
