A Greenfield man is sentenced to probation for a September incident.

According to court documents, 53 year-old Patrick Russell Darling pled guilty to a misdemeanor for his second offense for possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to two days in jail and placed on probation for two years. In the plea agreement, the court dismissed a misdemeanor charge for third or subsequent offense for possession of marijuana.

The charge stems from an executed search warrant in the 400 block of Southeast Kent Street in Greenfield on September 30th. Narcotic-related items were recovered from the warrant.

Two other suspects, 18 year-old Jacob Peterson of Fontanelle and 61 year-old Richard Johnson was scheduled to have their pre-trial hearings this week.
