The 2017 edition of the Iowa High School girls state golf meets are underway this morning. Residing in class 4A there will be three representatives of the Raccoon River Conference at the Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown.
Two of those representatives will be from Carroll in the form of Sara Sweeney and Somer Sinnard while the third conference representative belongs to ADM’s very own Lindsey Lange. Coming off of a state tournament run last season, Lange followed that up with a very strong senior campaign in 2017 earning the team lead in all but one meet throughout the entire season. Lange earned her spot as the 28th ranked individual golfer in 4A for an adjusted average coming in at 48.51 strokes which includes 5 individual medals throughout the season. Lange is the first Lady Tiger since the 2014-15 season with a combined 9 & 18 hole average inside the top 30 golfers in class 4A.
The multi sport senior earned her spot on the state meet stage thanks to her season low 18 hole score of 88 which placed her in the top five individual golfers in the region 2A final. Lange will take on the class 4A girls state meet this morning among 55 other golfers when she tees off on hole number one beginning at 9:00 am.
