Severe Weather Awareness Week continues… and tonight the National Weather Service is hosting their Dallas County storm spotter training.
All area residents are invited to attend the free training course, whether you’re a local first responder or just someone interested in the weather. The classes last about one and a half, to two hours and touch on how to identify severe weather, different types of threats, how to report severe weather and safety tips.
Tonight’s in-person training takes place at the Washington Township School in Minburn at 7pm.
Though if you’re not able to attend this evening but are still interested in the training, this year the National Weather Service is also offering webinar classes so you can get the information from the comfort of your own home. More information on the webinars can be found on our website, RaccoonValleyRadio.com
