You may have noticed while driving by Perry Fareway that there’s been a tractor in the parking lot throughout the week. The tractor’s presence heralded the beginning of the Dallas County Farm Bureau’s annual “Cram the Cab” event.

The fundraiser and food drive will benefit area food pantries, with people encouraged to place non-perishable food items or cash donations into the tractor’s cab. Additionally, shoppers at Fareway can round up their totals at the register, with the remainder going directly to the seven food pantries in the County. “Cram the Cab” will run through tomorrow, and the Raccoon Valley Radio Big Red Radio will be there on the final day to help with the final push for donations. We will be in the Fareway parking lot from 9-11 a.m., broadcasting live, playing music, and providing public address announcements.
