An important decision will be made following a final community meeting for the Paton-Churdan School District about its partial day sharing partner.
Shared Superintendent Rob Olsen says the current agreement is with the Jefferson-Scranton School District which is for partial day sharing for academics only. He points out that the agreement has been going on for ten years.
Olsen comments that the PC School Board has done a great job of keeping the communities involved in the decision making process with offering several meetings for the public.
Another agreement that is separate for the current partial day academic sharing with the Rams is for some athletic programs such as football, baseball, softball and wrestling. PC offers cross country, volleyball, track, and boys and girls basketball for its students.
He invites anyone to the final public meeting tomorrow tonight at the auditorium at the PC building in Churdan at 6:30pm. Olsen notes that a final decision must be made before the end of this year to go into effect for next school year.
