It’s national poetry month and the Adel Public Library is celebrating with their own event. 

The library will have a “Poetry Open Mic,” from 4 to 5:30pm on Thursday in the Adel Library Community room for anyone above the age of 12. Attendees will be able to recite or perform their own written poetry or reiterate a poem from one of their favorite poets. Registration will be required on the Adel Public Libraries website and there will be a form participants will need to fill out that asks for the name and author of the poetry piece the attendee will be performing.
