The Panorama School Board of Directors will meet tonight.
The Board will induct any new Board members with the Oath of Office along with electing a new Board President, Vice-President and school business official. Plus, the Board will approve any adopted rules and procedures for conducting School Board meetings and determine the time and place for its regular meetings.
The Board is expected to approve the 2014-15 school year fundraising requests, a geothermal system repair project, appoint a delegate to the Iowa Association of School Boards Delegate Assembly, appoint a Board Representative to the County Conference Board, the modified allowable growth for fiscal year 2014 special education deficit and the second reading for a revised board policy on compulsory attendance.
The Board will discuss its 2014 legislative session changes that affect the schools and the IASB annual convention in November.
The meeting will be at the District Board Room at 701 West Main Street in Panora at 6:30pm.
