A male in Greene County was taken by air ambulance on Thursday following a rollover incident.

Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams says at 12:01pm, deputies, Greene County Ambulance, Jefferson Fire Department and Churdan Rescue were notified from a passerby of a man trapped under a tractor in the ditch at the intersection of L Avenue and 150th Street. Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio the 76-year-old male was operating a tractor, got too close to the ditch and rolled the vehicle over, trapping him underneath.

Williams explains that the victim was transported by Greene County Ambulance to the Jefferson Municipal Airport, where he was later taken by air ambulance to a Des Moines hospital with suspected serious injuries. Out of respect to the family, Williams adds that he will not be releasing the name of the victim.
