Free tax preparation services will be offered this year for individuals with qualifying incomes, by Guthrie County Extension. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services will offered each Thursday night through tax season, beginning on January 22nd and ending April 9th, at the Guthrie County Extension Office in Guthrie Center. The service will be provided by IRS trained and certified volunteers. People who made under $57,000 in 2014 are eligible for the free service.
