Greene County Supervisors and Compensation Boards will Meet Tomorrow
The Greene County Board of Supervisors will meet tomorrow.
The Board is expected to approve two proclamations for Radon Action Month and Mentoring Month.
The Board will then conduct their organizational part of their meeting for 2016. The Board will consider for approval the December 31, 2015 cash count, set regular meeting dates and times, identify official newspapers, board assignments, appointments and depositories.
The Board will continue to hear 2017 fiscal year funding requests, which include New Opportunities, Bell Tower Community Foundation and the Greene County Library Association.
It begins at 8:30am in the boardroom of the courthouse in Jefferson.
Bernie Sanders Campaign to Stop in Jefferson
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders campaign will be stopping in Jefferson later this week.
Senior Advisor Bruce Koeppl will be hosting a “Coffee and Conversation on Aging Issues” forum at the Jefferson Public Library. The event will focus on a number of issues including Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, prescription drug prices and caregiving. Sanders will not be attending the event.
