The Perry boy’s soccer team will look for more than just victories over the final 2 games this week as they wrap up the regular season in preparation for postseason play. The Bluejays at 12-3 will travel to Pella Thursday night before hosting Indianola in the season finale Friday at Dewey Field.
“I want to see us increase the speed of the game over the final 3 games,” added RRC champion coach Gary Overla. “I want us to make faster decisions and be quicker with our sets and kicks. I also want us to play with a certain level of intensity. The midfield needs to dictate the play and really be assertive and aggressive over the final 2 games. If we come out with that type of intensity I think we will be fine.”
Perry will be looking for their third consecutive trip to state when postseason play opens up next week.
