The Perry Crime Stoppers and Perry Police department are doing what they can to make sure high school students have a safe and memorable prom. The dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs are particularly high on prom night and linked with drunk-driving injuries and even deaths.
In hope of preventing such a tragedy, the Crime Stoppers are posting a reward for up to $500 for information identifying locations of any underage alcohol related parties during prom weekend that can be verified by law enforcement intervention. A significant reward will also be paid to anyone who is able to identify individuals providing alcohol or drugs to minors – if the information results in charges being filed against that person.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Perry Crime Stoppers at 465-5661. All callers reporting information will remain anonymous.
