Guthrie County Relay for Life teams are holding their big annual event this weekend.

There are a variety of fun events scheduled during the relay on Saturday but tonight they’re hosting their team captain bank nights.  Co-Chair Kimberly Durst says it’s like an official kick off to relay week that helps everyone get organized before the event.  Teams will be able to drop off any donations they have gathered so far, pick up their registration packets and t-shirts and choose a campsite.

Among the activities planned for the actual relay are live music, dinner from the pork producers, a silent auction and of course the liminaria ceremony.  Durst says it’s a cause everyone can get involved in and every little bit helps.

Bank night will take place this evening from 5-7pm at Guthrie County State Bank in Guthrie Center.  The relay starts at noon Saturday at the Guthrie Center High School track and continues through 7am Sunday.
