One person was Life Flighted after a single vehicle rollover accident in Woodward this morning.

Iowa State Patrol Trooper Tom Clark tells Raccoon Valley Radio news, 22 year-old Ashley Mohr of Auburn, Iowa was traveling eastbound in the left hand lane while passing other cars on Highway 141 near Woodward around 9:40 this morning.  Clark says Mohr’s 2004 Chevy Trailblazer drifted into the left shoulder, she then over corrected and came back onto the roadway swerving through both lanes of the highway.  The vehicle spun sideways, left the road and rolled at least once in the southbound ditch before coming to rest on its wheels.

Mohr was taken to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines via Life Flight, she is currently listed in serious condition.  She was cited with failure to maintain control.

Also assisting the State Patrol at the scene was Woodword Police and Fire, Dallas County EMS and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.  Department of Transportation maintenance crews also helped close Highway 141 at the Highway 210 exit for nearly an hour.  Eastbound traffic was rerouted up the 210 exit ramp and able to get back on 141 on the other side of the bridge.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol
