It’s the time of year where everyone wants to spend some extra time outside, whether it be at the pool, beach, park or just out for a walk.
However, the weather forecast says it’s going to continue to be dangerously hot and humid all week. On Tuesday, thermometers are expected to hit 97 degrees – with heat index values as high as 105.
All residents are reminded of the importance of staying hydrated, not spending too much time outside in the heat, wearing sunscreen of at least 15 SPF and staying in the shade when possible.
Also, don’t expect too much relief overnight, as temperatures are expected to remain in the mid to upper 70s throughout the week.
