Looks like some bad news on the job front for the Raccoon River Valley.

According to figures released Tuesday by Iowa Workforce Development, Dallas, Greene and Guthrie Counties all saw an increase in their unemployment percentage in June.

Dallas County’s unemployment rate rose half a percentage point to 4.7 in June, but that’s still 0.5% lower than this time last year.

Greene County went from 5.1 percent in May to 5.4 percent in June, both down from the 5.7 percent in 2011.

And Guthrie County had an increase in 0.4 percent in June, up from May’s 5%.  Though the current rate is a whole percentage better than June of 2012.

Statewide, the unemployment rate increase slightly in June to 5.2 percent, compared to last year’s 6%.  The number of Americans without a job last month remained unchanged at 8.2%.
