This is your last chance to nominate members for the local Farm Service Agency County Committees.
County committees operate under official regulations for federal farm programs and apply judgment, experience and knowledge when making local decisions to help local farmers.
Three to five committee members are elected in each county by eligible local producers and serve three-year terms.
To be eligible, nominees must be of legal voting age, live in the area holding the election and participate or cooperate in a program administered by the Farm Service Agency.
After the nomination process, ballots will be mailed to producers this fall and newly elected committee members will take office January 1st.
Nominations must be submitted to the local FSA office by Wednesday. For more information, contact your local office or visit FSA.USDA.gov.
