Jefferson residents are invited to help design the new Main Street district Wednesday.

Main Street Iowa consultant Tim Reinders will be in town to review design aspects of the downtown district rehabilitation.  This is the first in a series of technical assistance meetings designed to help find ways to make the Main Street district shine.

The day’s activities will include a tour, design committee meeting, a discussion on using tax credits to rehab buildings, one-on-one consultations with building owners and a presentation on making good designs happen.

The public is welcome to attend any and all of the sessions, which will be held at the Sierra Theatre.
