There will be no Greene County Farmers’ Market this afternoon.

The market is taking a one week break due to the many hazards involved with the sidewalk construction around the courthouse square.

Customers are invited to directly contact their favorite vendors if there’s something in particular you’re looking for this week.  A list of contact information can be found at www.GreeneCountyFarmersMarket.com.

Market Manager Chris Henning says they will be back again next Tuesday.  “All our vendors will return, and the dinner, organized by the Greene County Lamb Producers, will feature all your favorites: lamb chops, steak sandwiches, brats and kabobs” says Henning.

It has been a great year for farmers’ markets across the country.  Henning says the record turnout has reflected the nationwide interest in locally grown fresh foods.
