Fresh off an opening night win over rival Dallas Center-Grimes, the A-D-M football team prepares to meet the 1-0 Winterset Huskies this Friday night at Tiger field in their home opener.

Winterset knocked off the Roadrunners from I-35 convincingly 49-6 last week and present a serious challenge for the Tigers. “Winterset is a very physical team, they play smash mouth,” said A-D-M Head Coach Mike Whisner, “They come out in a wishbone and try to be pysical. They’ve added a few wrinkles, they’ll throw a little more but they want to control the line of scrimmage.”

Senior QB Kyle Herrick gets his second start after completeing 10 of 20 passes for 106 yards, a touchdown and an interception, “We tried to put Kyle in sitautions were he could succeed, we wanted to use the running game to set up the passing game. We weren’t gonna throw the ball 40 times in his first start,” Coach Whisner concluded.

The Tigers will rely heavily on Senior tailback Jordan Grove who rushed for 230 yards & scored 5 touchdowns, game time is set for 7:30 at Tiger Field.
