The A-D-M boy’s & girl’s Cross Country teams will participate in the Ballard Invitational this afternoon.
“This is the biggest meet in the state other than State Meet,” said Tiger Coach David Zwank, “This meet provides situations with some pressure because of the high level of competition.”
Last week the runners participated in a class meet at Winterset. “It was hot out there so the officials shortened the races to a 4K for the boy’s & two miles for the girls” Coach Zwank continued, “I like that because it’s good for training purposes becuase it allows the kids to pace themselves over shorter distances.”
Today’s meet will be followed up by a head to head match Thursday against Panora. “Overall, the younger runners are still working through thier understanding of racing,” Zwank added, “The upper classman have been pretty consistent”
