After starting the high school volleyball season with a 4-0 record the Greene County Rams dropped four of the last six matches to stand at 6-4 overall and 3-1 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play. Coach Donna Carhill’s Rams step outside the conference Sept. 15 and play at the Ballard Bomber Invitational in Huxley. The Rams will play a number of schools they haven’t seen yet and the coach is hoping to get back on the winning track.
Greene County returns to conference action on Sept. 18 in Des Moines when they take on the Saydel Eagles. Saydel is in its first season in the HOIAC after playing for years in the Raccoon River Activities Conference.
