Guthrie County Extension & Outreach will offer a childcare provider training session on Wednesday, October 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. at their office located at 212 State Street in Guthrie Center.

“Spend Smart & Eat Smart in the Child Care Business” will enable participants to learn strategies to save money on food expenses while incorporating new ideas into menu planning and food shopping.

Providers will learn to classify food items and evaluate food costs according to nutrient density; stretch food dollars while improving nutrient density; apply money saving strategies in the childcare setting; and learn how to share money saving strategies with parents.

The cost for this session is $10.00 and will count towards credit hours.
