In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, all Perry residents are invited to take part in a Zumbathon this weekend.
Everyone ages 10 and up can participate in the unique fundraiser which aims to raise money for breast cancer research and outreach. No need to be a Zumba master, as the dance will be tailored to work for participants of all experience levels.
The event takes place in the parking lot of the Perry Public and Carnegie Libraries this Sunday. Registration starts at 1:30 with Zumba happening between 2 and 4pm. The cost to participate is $10 for kids ages 10-18 and $15 for anyone over 18 years old. All proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
In addition to the dance party there will also be giveaways and prizes. Pre-registration can be completed by contacting any of Perry’s Zumba instructors. For more information call Stephanie Gonzales at 491-3113.
