The Greene County Supervisors met in regular session Monday.

At the meeting the board reviewed master matrix scoring for Crouse Farms’ Hilltop Pork in North Junction Township.  The proposed confinement expansion will be on a pre-2001 site that has grandfathered separation distances from the time of original construction.  Preliminary scoring totals 490 points.  A public hearing is scheduled to discuss the expansion at the next meeting on Monday.

Nick Crouse requested the board consider approving a resolution that waives their right to appeal his other planned confinement construction at Crouse Pork North once they receive the draft permit.  Crouse says this approval would allow him to begin actual construction two weeks earlier than normal.  The board decided that such approval may create a precedent and no action was taken.

The board then approved a motion that allows the auditor to sign E911 checks and held a drainage meeting for approval of a pay estimate, change order and setting a completion date hearing.

The meeting adjourned at 9:40am.
