The A-D-M Girl’s and Boy’s Cross Country teams finished 4th and 5th respectively in the Raccoon River Conference meet earlier this week.

Pacing the girl’s squad was Freshman Brianna Mueller who finished second out of 56 runners and Junior Regan Engelmann who finished 16th. For the boy’s, Junior Josh Berger finished 12th out of 55 runners and Senior Cade Kiddo finished 16th.

“Each of the Varsity girl’s ran a personal record or within a few seconds of one,” said Head Coach David Zwank, “We’re in a strong conference, having our top five finishers all under 17:30 for a 4KM race is very respectable and to only finish 4th shows how tough our conference is.”

“The Boy’s team should be proud of moving themselves closer to the upper half of the conference,” Coach Zwank continued, “In reality, some of the boy’s didn’t have a good night so to it shows improvement as we head to next week.”

Both teams will compete in the State Qualifying meet next Thursday at Atlantic.

“We consider this to be the meet we work for the entire season besides the State meet,” Coach Zwank finished.
