Halloween is a fun time of year for kids of all ages, but parents and young celebrators need to keep safety a priority too. Perry Police Chief Dan Brickner says first of all, parents should accompany young children while trick or treating and older kids should always remain in groups. He says it’s also important to stay in a familiar neighborhood, only knock on doors of homes with their front lights on and never go inside a stranger’s house.  Chief Brickner also recommends taking advantage of local festivities organized by the chamber and hospital.
