Greene County High School assistant football coach Dave Waskow (Was-ko) will receive the Iowa Football Coaches Association Class 2A Assistant Coach of the Year Award next week in Cedar Falls. Waskow has more than 30 years under his belt as a teacher and coach at Iowa high schools and he’s in his ninth season in Jefferson. The award will be presented during halftime of the Class 3A state championship football game on November 15 inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Waskow is also the activities director for Greene County high school and middle school.
