By now we’re all familiar with black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday but this year there’s a new post-Thanksgiving celebration… Giving Tuesday.

The national celebration is a movement to celebrate and provide incentives to give.  It aims to inspire people to give back to make their local communities better and inform us about smarter ways to contribute to charities and causes that help create a better world.

One local organization that is embracing Giving Tuesday is the HCI Care Services, formerly the Hospice of Central Iowa.  They’ve made it easy for people to donate by texting the word “dignity” to 4-6-9-8-6.
