Tomorrow the Lincoln Highway Museum in Grand Junction will be having an open house from 2-5pm.  The newly restored 1900 building on Main St. will be showcasing original memorabilia of the Lincoln Highway.

Owners Bob and Joyce Ausberger purchased the building last winter and wanted to bring history to life for tourists and residents alike with their unveiling of the museum last June during Grand Junctions “Fun Days” celebration.

Now The Ausbergers and Lincoln Highway members would like to share the opportunity and bring together holiday fellowship and see the amazing items thats part of Iowa’s and Greene County’s history.

Joyce Ausberger says that they have several original artifacts from when Lincoln Highway was first established.  Some of those items are mile markers with porcelain signs and five original Lincoln Highway books from when the highway was first created.

You can enjoy free refreshments, explore a lego christmas-themed village and watch a winding indoor train move about the museum.
