The location for the Adopt-A-Family holiday food basket event on Saturday has been moved. The new location is at Clover Hall at the Greene County Fairgrounds.
Adopt-A-Family Board Member Laura Ballard says that there are over 150 families registered this year which is the highest amount of applicant families they’ve had in recent years.
AAF works with other organizations throughout the year to help donate to families in need. In August, the “School Supplies for Kids” event brought in over 100 backpacks that were given to students filled with school supplies. This past October had 64 children from 40 families receive winter outerwear through Operation Warm Hearts. AAF is partners with New Opportunities Family Development Center to identify community members in need and provide a location where they can register for assistance.
The holiday food basket distribution will be on Saturday from noon to 1:30pm. Contact Laura Ballard at 515-370-4896 for more information.
