Gerald Neal has tendered his resignation, effective immediately, after nearly ten years of service as the CEO of Guthrie County Hospital.  Neal oversaw the modernization of hospital facilities and was responsible for recruiting a number of accomplished providers to the Guthrie County Hospital.

Director of Rural Health Resources for Iowa Health Des Moines Tracy Warner says Guthrie County Hospital will move forward in seeking applicants that possess the skills needed to fill this position.  Once that has been accomplished, the Guthrie County Hospital Board of Trustees will review resumes of potential candidates, interviews will be scheduled and a decision will be made to fill the vacancy Warner added.

The Board has named an interim team of professionals made up of Danielle Navarro, Chief Nursing Officer; Kimberly Myers, Director of Human Resources, and Melinda Alt, Chief Financial Officer.  Tracy Warner, Director of Rural Health Resources for Iowa Health Des Moines, Guthrie County Hospital’s affiliation partner, will assist Navarro, Myers, and Alt as they develop the process for recruiting a new CEO.

Warner is confident that, with 27 years combined experience, these individuals will come together as a team to assist in providing quality services to the citizens of Guthrie County.
