The History Boy Theatre in Jefferson will be performing Five Course Love later this month.
Co-director Angie Pederson says that this is the first time they’ve put on a winter show at the History Boy Theatre. The cast is three people, Robby and Angie Pederson and Nick Lehman each play five different characters.
“We were waiting to see a window of time and since this is our first winter show, we thought this might be a good time to unveil a show of this size. After a couple of years of loving the music now is the time to pull the trigger on the show.”
The story has five different settings that tell about a different love triangle or mishaps in love. The first is set in a Texas steakhouse, the second is in an Italian mob scene, then you’re in a German restaurant, next is a Mexican-Zorro scene and you end up at a 1950’s-style cafe.
A new feature is the addition of a dinner theatre. Pederson says that they’ve never done a dinner theatre but if its successful, they’ll keep doing it. Co-Director Robby Pederson says that even though its a dinner theatre, you will be having the meal first, off to the side, and then you will be able to come over to the theatre seats to watch the show.
The performances will be Friday, December 28th, Saturday December 29th and New Year’s Eve. Friday’s performance is the only one without the dinner before the show. For tickets, contact Robby or Angie Pederson at 515-370-4306.
