Two teens have been arrested after a construction trailer burglary in Grimes.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a resident reported a possible burglary on northwest 18th Street near northwest Calista Street Wednesday. When officers arrived on scene they located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect car, parked near construction trailers at northwest 18th Street and northwest Norton Court. Two suspects fled the scene on foot and were later located and taken into custody.
19 year-old Marlon Josue Careres-Herrera and 19 year-old Victor Landaverde were arrested and charged with burglary 3rd degree, attempted burglary 3rd degree, theft 2nd degree, possession of burglary tools and interference with official acts.
