Due to the resignation of Stewart Firebaugh from the Panora City Council last month, a special election will be held on Tuesday, January 22.

Mark Humphreys was the only person who turned in nomination papers to fill this three-year vacancy on the Panora City Council.  Humphreys is a former Council member who was succeeded by a write-in candidate in the November 2011 election.

The polls will be open from noon until 8 p.m. on January 22 at the Veterans Auditorium in Panora.
