Head coach of the ADM girls’ basketball team Brett Watson always stresses defense and keeping the number of fouls down in a game for his Tigers, and both of those will be key components of their matchup with the Lady Jays of Bondurant-Farrar on Friday, January 18th.
The first time the two teams met this season Bondurant-Farrar put up 59 points, the second most points that the Tigers have given up all season, and they did so with consistency, scoring approximately 15 points each quarter. Coach Watson said that that’s too many points to allow and he wants to see multiple “Single Digit Quarters” this time around from the Lady Jays.
Free throws were another big part of the success Bondurant-Farrar had on their home court when they hosted ADM as they shot 21 of 22 free throws in that first contest. While it’s not likely they’ll duplicate their above 95% free throw rate, the Lady Jays do shoot well as a team and ADM needs to keep them with as few trips to the line as possible.
The game starts with the Lincoln Savings Bank Pregame Show starting at 5:45 PM from Adel, tip-off is at 6 o’clock, and it can all be heard on 107.9, K-107.
