The city of Jefferson would like to remind its citizens that all city offices will be closed on Monday, January 21st in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  The Jefferson Public Library will also be closed on Monday and another quick reminder is that nothing is due to the library that day.

All state offices and the Greene County ISU Extension and Outreach office will be closed.

The Greene County Community Center and all Greene County offices will be open during normal business hours on Monday.

Garbage pickup routes in Jefferson will be delayed one day starting Monday.  So that means Monday’s route will be picked up on Tuesday.  The one day delay will last throughout the week and Thursday’s route picked up on Friday.  The city would like to remind the public to have your garbage out by the curbside at 6am in ensure pick up.
