Sunday, February 17th Iowa State University’s student-run modern dance club, Orchesis I will perform. The group will present their annual Barjche concert, which was first created in 1946 by three of the club’s founding members.
This year’s Barjche theme is “Harbingers and Messengers” and is a contemporary modern dance production based on the premise that our actions impact the world around us. Several different dancers will perform pieces that touch on the impact our actions have on personal, community and global levels.
The event takes place in the Perry High School Performing Arts Center February 17th at 2pm. The concert is free and open to the public, though donations are accepted to help support future events.
