The Sierra Community Theatre will host a Dual Inaugural Event on Monday. The theater will show the live Presidential Inauguration ceremony on its big screen through an internet feed.
The head of the Dual Inaugural Event, John Brunow says that now that the theater has made the transition to digital and through contributions from community members, its a great opportunity for the public to come to a free showing and opens the doors to a number of different possibilities that anyone can do. He comments that you could hold sporting events, cultural events and even have business meetings at the theater. It really allows for some outside-the-box thinking.
“Let’s say you’ve got someone celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary. Pretty common these days to be able to take video and take pictures and can you imagine taking that couple into the theater and allowing them to see all of those memories, with all of their family and friends, up on the big screen.”
Admission for the event is free and open to the public. The doors open at 10:30am on Monday with the Presidential Oath of Office slated to begin at 11am and the Presidential Inaugural Address to follow. Brunow urges people to come and be apart of our nation’s history and leave with ideas about how you could use the theater to your advantage. Ram Restaurant will be open and serving sandwiches and soup for $6, plus the concession stand will be open.
