More details have been released in the burglary case of stolen property from Heartland Co-op in Rippey on Thursday.
Greene County Chief Deputy Jack Williams went to the Ankeny Police Department’s impound lot to dust for fingerprints of the Heartland Co-op Ford F-350 pickup on Friday. He determined that the suspects were using gloves but he found a partial fingerprint and will be sending it in to the Criminalistic Laboratory in Ankeny for further testing.
In a separate occurrence, Sheriff Haupert told Raccoon Valley Radio that a second Heartland Co-op Ford F-350 pickup was taken from around the Newton area on January 2nd and found in Ankeny with tools stolen from that location.
So far, no connections have been made to the two Heartland Co-op thefts and the total amount of property lost from the Rippey burglary is undetermined. Charges are still pending at this time.
