After months of meetings, Bagley Don Molle reluctantly agreed to sell Bagley’s Ambulance.

A meeting was held on Saturday, January 26th, notifying the Trustees that the contract currently held with Panora Ambulance will expire on Sunday, June 30th, and they will need to make the decision on if they will renew the contract or go with another community in the area, such as Jefferson.  Letters were sent to the residents earlier this month; this meeting was to just make the announcement official Molle added.

Currently, Panora has contracts and serves the communities of Guthrie Center, Yale, Jamaica, Linden, Bagley and of course, Panora.

With a heavy heart, Mayor Molle is notifying the public that The City of Bagley is currently taking sealed bids for their 2008 Ford E450 Medtec Ambulance with a starting bid of $75,000.

All bids should be mailed to The City of Bagley, PO Box 58, Bagley, Iowa 50026, with the envelope clearly marked “Ambulance Bid”.  All bids must be received at City Hall in Bagley by Friday, March 1st.  Bids will be opened at the regular City Council Meeting at 7 PM. on Monday, March 4th.

For more information, or to set up a time to view the ambulance, contact Taber Lincoln at 641-757-1279 or Jeremy Cooper at 641-431-1356.

It’s a great vehicle and Molle says he hates to see it not being utilized.  He’s hoping a nearby community can purchase it and put it to good use.
