If you’re still on the path to getting organized in 2013, Guthrie County Extension Officer Coordinator Vicki Frohling has some tips on cleaning and organizing your refrigerator.
Make sure your refrigerator temperature is 40 degrees or slightly below and your freezer is 0 degrees or below.
Wrap everything in foil, plastic, or airtight containers.
Dairy products, eggs and meat should be kept in the coldest part of the refrigerator, not the door.
Identify a spot of leftovers and label them.
Wipe up spills right away using hot soapy water.
