The Greene County Chamber Board met yesterday in its regular monthly session.
Board President Pete Russell gave an update on the Bell Tower Festival. She announced that Kirk Strong from Scottsdale, Arizona will be bringing the world’s largest Volkswagen Bus, Walter to the Jefferson celebration. She also confirmed Joseph Hall will return as the Elvis Presley impersonator and there will be several magic shows new to the festival this year.
Chamber Executive Director Ken Paxton reported to the Board on several events. He confirmed that all the manufacturers in the county will be involved in the Bell Tower Festival and give demonstrations of what they do. He told the Board that a presentation will be made to the Greene County Development Corporation Executive Board about the possibility of bringing in a business class restaurant to Jefferson.
Jefferson Matters: Main Street Board President Chris Henning announced to the Board that they are looking to fill two board member positions as well as committee positions. She also told the Board that the makeup date for the visionary meeting is rescheduled to May 7th.
