The Iowa Newspaper Association released its 2012-13 girls’ basketball all-state basketball teams and Greene County HIgh School senior Jennifer Kennedy was selected for the Class 3A third team. Kennedy averaged 17.4 points per game for the 11-11 Rams. She is the five-player girls’ basketball all-time leading scorer for a Jefferson-based program with 1,145 points. Kennedy earlier was chosen unanimously to the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference first team and was also named to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association all-district team. The INA team is the second all-state team this week Kennedy has been selected for. She was a third team Class 3A Des Moines Sunday Register all-state selection as well.
