A deputy responded to a semi-tractor trailer which had run off the roadway on D Avenue at 130th Street. The 2001 Peterbuilt tractor owned by Tracy Hansen Trucking of Audubon had been driven by Brandon Hansen was northbound on D Avenue when Brandon reported falling asleep and the truck entered the west ditch. The livestock trailer being pulled by the semi-tractor was empty at the time and is owned by Pork Chop Trucking LLC of Carroll. Approximately $20,000 in damages was reported to the tractor trailer combination. Brandon Hansen of Audubon was issued a citation for failure to maintain control. Paul and Wayne’s Towing of Carroll. removed the tractor and trailer.
A deputy was advised of a burglary at a residence in Kendrick Township. Nothing was reported missing but the door sustained $100 in damages.
Randy Hedges reported property damage to a billboard sign on 220th and M Ave.
Dean Rogers reported a burglary to a vacant farmstead in Kendrick Township. A deputy will respond and investigate during the daylight hours.
