Perry High School students did well at the state academic decathlon competition this past weekend.
Twenty-five schools from all over Iowa participated in the contest, including 13 in the small school division.
Overall, Perry place 6th in their division for the 5th year in a row. Jason Krueger received 1st place in the interview and economics competitions, Nate Lenz won first place for economics and 3rd place in science, Amanda Meyer received 2nd place honors in the interview category, Christopher Benjamin placed 3rd in math and Andrew Wolter got 3rd place in science.
