Several local residents have been appointed to various state boards and commissions by Governor Terry Branstad.
Loree Miles of Dallas Center has been appointed to the Transportation Commission, Mark Hersch of Dallas Center was appointed to the Commission of Deaf Services, Theodore Crosbie of Earlham will serve on the Economic Development Authority and Dan Dutcher of Waukee joined the Board of Educational Examiners.
In addition, Bob Skow of Dallas Center has been appointed to the Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa or Hawk-I Board, Guy Richardson of Jefferson is on the Council on Human Services, Dennis Young of Waukee is part of the Investment Board of IPERS, Christina Michael of Earlham was selected to the Massage Therapy Board and Marilyn Seemann of Woodward will serve on the Mental Health and Disability Services Commission.
Terms for all appointees will begin on May 1st, with the exception of Dutcher and Richardson who began their terms on March 1st.
