Perry Library Director Mary Murphy has been selected to take part in the Innovative Librarians Explore, Apply and Discover program.
It’s a year-long program designed to help library staff understand and respond to user needs through the application of technology tools and the creation of an easy to replicate model program.
Librarians from Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Utah and Ohio will take part in three four day sessions over the course of nine months and beginning March 25th.
Murphy’s team will be tasked with creating a community calendar website that will host all area meeting and events.
Murphy says she’s really excited to be able to use the ILEAD USA program to benefit the Perry community.
Subsequent sessions will be held in June and October and include in-person sessions, virtual meetings and activities.
