The 2013 high school track and field season begins indoors today for the Greene County Rams. The Rams travel to Storm Lake to take part in the Buena Vista University indoor meet for high school girls and boys. Action starts at 4 p.m. and may well go past 11 p.m. if past years are any indication. The Rams have 39 boys and 37 girls on the squad and the majority are expected to see action tonight. The two Greene County teams have athletes ranging all the way from juniors and seniors that have been State meet place winners in the past to freshmen and sophomores seeing their first varsity action.
Dean Lansman is the boys’ head coach and Kelly Simpson is the head of the girls’ program.
